Hailing from Freetown, Sierra Leone, Mimi Kamara’s first introduction to beauty began with her culture and mother, who introduced her to the world and her soon love of fashion. Surrounded by her own form of HD, she unknowingly absorbed high definitions of color and character as an African girl. Where even the simple execution of a meal required great attention to detail, with the sole purpose of making others feel good. Two staple beliefs that soon inspired everything Mimi creates.
After moving to the United States, Mimi continued to enhance her artistry not only through assisting in Fashion & Editorial, but also in the areas of organization, communication, and the ability to remain calm in any environment. These strengths have enabled Mimi to become a go to artist in almost every arena of her field. Creating staple looks for Television host and Media personality Bevy Smith, the late Dr. Maya Angelou, R&B singer Miguel, as well as Designers Patricia Field and Public School respectively. Mimi has also worked on runway shows for Tommy Hilfiger, Chado Ralph Rucci, Carolina Herrera, Band of Outsiders, and Tadashi Shoji. Mimi has had the privilege of working with television networks such as E!, ABC, CBS, and NBC. As Mimi continues to absorb high definitions of color, her passion for all things beauty continue to garner great success.
